| 1. Do you have jobs at YES that I can apply for? | |
| Yes. We work with employers and match your skills and experience with their job openings. There is also the On-the-Job-Training (OJT) program of the Province of Ontario (through Job Connect) which has subsidized training jobs for youth 16-24 years of age. YES has other job opportunities and we won't quit until you're satisfied with our services. | |
| 2. Can somebody help me to write my resume? | |
| With YES services, individuals can receive extensive one-on-one resume help from employment counsellors (subject to program requirements). Also, through our Resource Centre, you can attend a free 1 hour Resume workshop and feedback on your current resume by our Resource Centre gurus. We can show you helpful resume guides and can even assist you on the computers. We also have a bevy of resources in our Resource Centre and of the internet where clients can access helpful hints and tips for resumes. | |
| 3. I'm a 16 year-old high school student. I need to find a summer job before I go back to school in the fall. Can YES help? | |
| YES has an great and FREE summer employment program for students returning to school in the fall called "Summer Job Service". Visit us to have your name put on the summer job list! | |
| 4. I'm over 30, employed and considering a career change. Can YES help me? | |
| YES's Resource Centre may be just what you need. It has FREE access to resources that can assist you in finding a new career. These resources include training/educational resources, business directories, resume and cover letter help, internet access to research potential employers and job vacancies, and knowledgeable staff to point you in the right direction. | |
| 5. I receive social assistance (welfare) at the moment and need help to find a job. Can YES help? | |
| YES is a registered and qualified deliverer of the Ontario Works (OW) program for the Region of Sudbury. Contact us or your Ontario Work worker for more information. | |
| 6. Are there any fees involved for YES services? | |
| The great thing about YES programs is that the majority of our services are FREE. You may receive free counselling; attend free seminars; get resume, cover letter and interview help; use up-to-date computers with internet access, laser printers and telephones; receive fax and photocopying services. | |
